On May 19, ADS celebrated a spirit Country day when ADS encouraged students and staff members to come to school dressed up as cowgirls and cowboys. Many students and staff participated and you could hear a lot of country music being played throughout the school. Very fun and successful day! Thank you to the organizers.

On May 20, ADS had the special pleasure to welcome the Earth Rangers via zoom! Earth Rangers is a Canadian organization aimed at teaching children all about biodiversity and about wildlife. Classes were able to participate in different activities throughout the presentation, and learn about many different types of animals. Students were very impressed by the presentation and are looking forward to having them back, hopefully in person, this time next year.

On April 29, students and teachers were offered a very special treat to sweeten them all up! The students and staff enjoyed some fun time outside as they devoured their delicious beaver tails. Thank you very much to Ms. Whalen and Ms. Cindy for stepping up to help those working in the food truck, as well as to those who organized this special treat! It was very delicious.

Our K4 students, at ADS, were busy being astronauts as they explored their very own solar system in the classroom. We will soon be diving into the month of June as we explore the amazing wonders of the Ocean. Through play, we will be learning, having fun, and enjoying many hands-on activities with our very own under the sea/beach dramatic play area. We will also have a camping site equipped with everything a little camper would need to explore and discover.

Once again this year, ADS participated in the Energy Cubes for the Grand Defi Pierre Lavoie. Students were encouraged to exercise both at school and at home. From May 2nd to May 23rd students colored cubes and made sure to stay active with their friends but also at home with their families. Great job everyone!

On May 26, ADS welcomed a very talented magician from Montreal: Mr. Patrice Meunier. Mr. Meunier entertained both students and staff with a variety of magic tricks and comical entertainment, which was very well received. Thank you very much, Mr. Meunier, for such a spectacular show, and all the great laughs. Both students and staff very much enjoyed your presentation.
