Increased police presence for Saint-jean festivities

Record Staff

This year, after two years of pandemic, The Sherbrooke Police Service (SPS) believe that private festivities will be happening in large numbers. Therefore, in addition to the activities open to the general public, the SPS will ensure that the private festivities taking place don’t get out of hand.

A plan has been put in place by the police department to ensure the safety of citizens who will take part in the

St-jean Baptiste festivities. In addition to the regular staff, resources will be added and assigned to the various activities that will be held throughout the territory.

Special attention will be given to surveillance of the Jacques-cartier Park sector where the Cowboys fringants show will be held.

The SPS is counting on the cooperation of Sherbrooke citizens to ensure that all activities take place in a festive spirit while keeping safety in mind.
