Hello, my name is Isis, and I am ten years old. I wanted to interview Lily from Les Trois Fées because I find that it is a very special store, and I wanted other people to also have the experience of

being in it.

Hello, I am Juniper and I am ten years old. I chose to interview Lily from Les Trois Fees because I love that shop so much. It has so much jewelry and so many fantasy things like Harry Potter wands and the big upside is that it has a used clothing store. It also has surprise bags and little potions and little

and big secret diaries.

Little intro of Lily:

My full name is Lily Martin. I am the owner of the Boutique Les 3 Fées in Lennoxville. I consider myself to be a multi-passionate entrepreneur. I was an entrepreneur before the shop too, and I have done many jobs in different careers. I was a drummer when I was younger, and my stage name was Lily Papillion.

Juni & Isis: What inspired you to open Les Trois

Fées?

Lily: It was everything that I loved, which would be the fairies, the magic, and pretty much everything that is in here.

Juni & Isis: How long ago did you open your shop? Lily: A bit over six years now, and I have changed so much since then.

Juni & Isis:

How have you changed since opening Les Trois Fées?

Lily: Well, I have grown older and I have learned a lot of new skills about managing a business and employees. I have less pride and am more humble. Before I wanted to do everything by myself and now, I realize that teamwork is really important to run a business.

Juni & Isis:

Lily: I wanted to find myself a job that I would love for the rest of my life, so I figured that if I put all my passions together then it would be something I’d be happy to wake up for in the morning and go to work and share all that passion with all the other people that are interested in it too. I also love to make people happy. So those were the two things I figured would make a good business project and life path.

What is the history of your shop?

Juni & Isis: Is this your dream job?

Lily: It is, yes. It is all the things I love doing. I would be learning about fairies and magic at home too not just while I work. Now I can do it while I work.

Juni & Isis: What kind of things do you sell?

Lily: I sell crystals, that’s one of the main focuses of the shop and a lot of fantasy and magic products and some well-being products as well, which I am getting more and more into.

Juni & Isis: Do you make some of the things you sell? Lily: I used to make a lot of the things here. Now I don’t make as much because I am a little busier, but I do have other artisans that make stuff.

Juni & Isis: What is your favourite thing that you sell here?

Lily: My favourite thing … that is hard to answer. I would have to say the crystals, I love crystals. I love that they bring a lot of good energy. I find they are really soothing. They are like a bunch of friends. They are always there to help me in different ways.

Juni & Isis:

Why did you choose to sell these kinds of things?

Lily: Because they bring a lot of happiness and good vibrations and positive energy.

Juni & Isis: What is your experience being a shop owner?

Lily: Well, I had none before this, and now I do. I love it, but I don’t like managing employees very much, because I find it hard to tell them what to do. But my employees are wonderful, so I have no complaints.

Juni & Isis: Was your business active during the pandemic?

Lily: Mostly online.

Juni & Isis:

Lily: I was a little bit of a gypsy all my life. I was born in Quebec City. My parents moved here in Lennoxville when I was a baby. I have lived in a lot of places. I lived in Alberta, British Columbia, Montreal and many other places. I travelled a lot and now I have my shop, I decided to not be a gypsy anymore.

Where do you come from?

Juni & Isis:

Lily: My family. Travelling was really fun but there was always something missing, and that was being with my family and close loved ones. I figured that I may as well enjoy the time that I can spend with them while they are healthy and alive, and not wait until it is too late.

What brought you back to Lennoxville?

Juniper (left), Lily (middle), and Isis (right) pictured in the heart of the Les 3 Fées boutique

in Lennoxville.

Juni & Isis: Are you a real fairy?

Lily: Oh, I don’t think I’m allowed to tell anyone about this. There are just some things that you can’t tell, like wishes. If you say them out loud, they might not come true!
